Summer Camp FAQ
To register your child, please send us an email at academy@thefunday.ca.
Funday Camp runs from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, from Monday to Friday.
Your campers are in great hands! All of our Funday counsellors are trained, have passed a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, and are certified in First Aid and CPR-C. They’re energetic, caring, and ready to lead your child through a week of fun, learning, and adventure.
Our camp is also led by our Creative Program Manager, Ms. Aman — a certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and former Montessori teacher. She brings years of experience in child development and a passion for creating playful, enriching experiences for every camper.
Yes, we offer after-care from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for families who need a later pickup option.
Our extended care is only offered for the whole week, just like our camp, and needs to be requested prior to the week of camp so we can accomodate. If you require extended care on shorter notice, you can request it and we will do our best to accommodate, however the charge will be the weekly price.
Children will have recess in our playground under their counsellor's supervision, while our spacious, private party rooms will be transformed into a warm, classroom-style setting where they can learn, engage in a variety of activities, and enjoy snacks and meals
Campers will enjoy a wide variety of fun and educational activities including arts & crafts, STEM play, interactive games, storytelling, science experiments, and more. Each day is designed to keep kids engaged, curious, and having a great time.
Yes! We provide a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack each day. Our meals are kid-friendly and nutritious.
Safety is our top priority. All staff members have experience working with children and must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. Campers stay in a private, supervised area throughout the day, and we maintain secure check-in/check-out procedures to ensure your child’s safety at all times.
Yes, Funday is fully air-conditioned! Our 10,000 sq. ft. facility is powered by a robust 28-ton HVAC system that keeps the temperature cool and the air fresh — perfect for energetic campers.
Fun Fact #1: Most office buildings only need about 1 ton of cooling per 400–500 sq. ft., so a space our size would typically require around 20 tons. We went above and beyond with 28 tons to ensure superior comfort and airflow.
Fun Fact #2: Guess how long it takes our system to completely replenish all the air inside Funday? Just 18 minutes! That means campers are always breathing fresh, cool air all day long.
Funday is committed to providing a fun, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children. While we offer personalized attention and do our best to adapt activities, our staff are not able to provide continuous 1-on-1 support throughout the day.
If your child requires additional assistance, we are happy to discuss options. In some cases, families may choose to arrange for an external support worker (such as a therapist or aide) to attend camp with their child. We are open to working with you to find a safe and respectful solution, provided it aligns with our camp policies and staff capacity.
No, Funday does not participate in the CWELCC (Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care) system and does not accept government subsidies. As an unlicensed camp provider, we are not eligible for these programs.
No, Funday does not offer half day/ drop in camp days. While you are welcome to bring your kids less than 5 days per week, or pick them up early, there will be no discounted rate for this.
